At the ABC we are proud of our Azerbaijani heritage. We are an international school modelled on the British educational system.
ABC is registered and recognised by the Ministry of Science & Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. We are open to their inspection They allow us to teach the National Curriculum for England and wales, providing we also teach Azerbaijan language and culture according to national plans. Approvals from other ministerial authorities are also necessary such as health and safety.
Our students sit Azerbaijani examinations, but we are also approved as an examination centre for international examinations. This assures that the school’s students can get accredited qualifications that are recognised across the world. We undergo annual inspection by Cambridge and Edexcel to make sure we abide by their high standards.
Membership of different associations provides an opportunity to share good practice and ensure the quality of our educational provision. ABC began its formal accreditation journey in 2018, receiving visits from both COBIS and CIS teams. In 2021, ABC was awarded full accredited member status with CIS in July and COBIS accreditation in September. We are the only school in the whole region to hold both accreditations.
In February 2026, ABC welcomed a team of CIS evaluators for its reaccreditation visit and received its CIS Reaccreditation Certificate in April 2026, reaffirming its commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality international education.
ABC is also an invited member of the Black Sea Schools Group (BSS), an association of British-accredited schools in our region. BSS provides opportunities to share best practice through meetings, competitions and other collaborative activities.

We have been awarded the prestigious Global School Alliance Silver Award in recognition of our dedication to global education, international collaboration, and fostering global citizenship among our students.
At ABC, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom—it shapes young minds to understand the world, embrace diversity, and become responsible global citizens. Through our partnership with the Global School Alliance (GSA), we have actively participated in international projects, collaborative learning experiences, and cultural exchanges that enrich our students’ understanding of the world.
Receiving the Silver Award is a milestone in our journey, but our commitment to global citizenship does not stop here! We are continuously striving to expand our international collaborations, strengthen our Global Learning Program, and inspire students to become active, responsible, and empathetic global citizens.
