Sync24 Strategic Plan
Sync24 is the ABC Strategic Plan with a vision to bring together the community (synchronize) to make key school improvements to achieve our school mission and vision. The current leadership team look to build on past reviews and self-evaluation to create a strategic plan owned by the community for the community. It was launched following a popular social media campaign, (videos below). The first phase of structured school improvements is set to take us to 2024. However the strategic plan is dynamic and will be updated annually, as targets are achieved, service evaluated and further priorities incorporated. Sync24 will become Sync28, Sync32 and so on.
The priorities identified in Sync24 are derived from 3 sources.
- The extensive stakeholder survey, filled in by all members of the ABC community, identified the priorities of staff, students, parents, board members and leaders. Priorities were identified where themes were reoccurring for all groups of stakeholders or where themes appeared strongly reflected by the majority of people in that stakeholder group
- The Council of International Schools (CIS) conducted a school evaluation in 2018 and then carried out an evaluation and review using 5 specialist evaluators in 2020-2021. This three year process of self-evaluation and then review and evaluation by CIS yielded important priorities for ABC, that are incorporated into our strategic planning.
- The Council of British International Schools (COBIS) first attended the school in 2017 undertaking a compliance report to evaluate where we were to improve should we want to become full members. This four year process ended in 2021. Like CIS, they produced a compliance report and helped us identify our weaknesses and our strengths.
