Our Key Stage four (Years 10 and 11) is the time that our students study their two year IGCSE courses, along with their core curriculum. IGCSEs are the key to progression onto A-level. These two years act as a serious focus on subjects and allows students to find out where their strengths, interests and more importantly academic abilities lie. They will choose (in Year 9) from a suite of six optional IGCSEs. This suite is complemented with core subjects, PSHCE and Sport, in order to balance student wellbeing and create future leaders with an international mindset.

Our Key Stage five (Years 12 and 13) are where we begin to expect our students to become young adults. Taking responsibility for their academia and actions. Working much more autonomously than before. In Year 11, based upon their IGCSE grades and experience they will choose four subjects to study at A-level. This will be a much more in depth study of that subject and will resemble university study a little more closely. At the end of Year 12, there is the option to focus on only three of their subjects. The A-level, again, is only a key to the door of university. The study they do here, should be as a focus to move them onto university or the wilder world of work. The transition and application process is supported and facilitated by the Form Tutor, Key Stage Leader and dedicated University Counsellor. Students will also have the opportunity to study and complete their Attestat in Year 12.
